Creative Learning

I bring a diverse and extensive Creative Arts background, including 15 years of professional experience as a graphic designer and my current practice as a local watercolour artist in Ballarat. I am trained in ceramic art and currently work at Loreto College Ballarat as an Art Technician, where I support the development and delivery of learning experiences across a broad range of artistic mediums and techniques, including ceramics, lino printing, Gelli plate art, etching, oil painting, gilding and watercolour. Through my local business, Pittywitty, I design and deliver creative workshops and school incursions throughout the Ballarat district, providing engaging, practical and curriculum-linked arts experiences. In 2025, I was selected to work in partnership with Sunnyside to deliver community workshops connected to the work of internationally recognised artist Morag Myerscough, further developing my experience in creating accessible and engaging arts experiences within the local community.

My professional aspiration is to work as a generalist classroom teacher, while also contributing as a Creative Arts specialist in a part-time capacity. I am passionate about bringing this wealth of Creative Arts knowledge and experience into the primary classroom and providing students with opportunities to explore a diverse range of artistic mediums and creative practices. I bring enthusiasm, energy and a highly engaging approach to learning and believe that practical and creative experiences can inspire curiosity, build confidence and encourage students to discover their individual interests and strengths. I am particularly keen to share my passion for the Arts with primary school students and to foster a lifelong appreciation for creativity, self-expression and learning.
